The research laboratory of the Department of Space and Applications, REMOSAT, was set up in 2016. REMOSAT stands for Remote sEnsing and MOdeling of Surface and ATmosphere. Targeting international standards, REMOSAT is expected to have significant contributions to the development of research and applications related to climate modeling and remote sensing in Vietnam, as well as to the teaching and training programs of USTH. The lab is being developed, focusing on the 3 following axes:
- Climate modeling and Earth observations,
- Satellite technologies,
- Astrophysics.
REMOSAT is projected to become a strong research group in climate modeling and remote sensing and obtain strong support and collaboration with French and international colleagues. REMOSAT will develop its capabilities to prepare for the best conditions required at the future USTH Hoa Lac campus.
